Three Things Challenge #415

Three Things Challenge #415

Pensitivity101 Rules:

Welcome to The Three Things Challenge.
Every day I’ll list three things that may, or may not, be related. The challenge is to simply read the prompt and see where your creativity takes you, using one, two or all three words in your post. There are no restrictions regarding length, style, or genre apart from keeping it family friendly.

You can use the 3TC, #threethingschallenge or TTC as a tag and the logo if you wish.
Invite us along by creating a pingback to this post and don’t forget to leave your link in the comments so that other people can read your writings and I’ll see it to respond to you directly. While you’re there, why not check out some of the other posts too!

Have fun and these are your three things today are:

DAY
AFTER
SPIRIT

**********

The day after Marjie and Randy spent the night at the haunted house they went back during the daytime. “This place doesn’t look so scary during the day, ” Marjie joked. Just then a spirit of an old woman walked across the front porch and into the house by the front door. Marjie and Randy lost no time getting out of there. They grabbed their bikes and ran as fast as their legs would carry them.

Stopping when they had reached the end of the road they tried to slow their breathing down so they could talk. “Who was that,” Randy managed to get out.

“I don’t know. Thankfully we didn’t see her last night.”

New Friends or Class Clown?

By Tessa Dean November 2020

Ronny was tempted to walk out on the limb that was lying half in the water. He had worn his only hoodie and had to go to school and if he misjudged and fell into the water he would have to not only run home to change facing his father’s wrath for being late to school, he wouldn’t have his hoodie to wear. On reflection, he could take the hoodie off while he walked out on the limb.

Finally he took it off and started to inch out on the limb and tried to gauge how far he should go. It was slippery and he kept having to catch his balance. He hadn’t hit the spot where the water was covering the limb, but he thought he should start back to land.

As he turned around to start back he realized that several of the bad boys at school were watching him. Just great, he thought, if I fall they will never let me live it down.

The boys remained silent and just watched. He was expecting jeers, but no, they made no sound just watched him.

He started walking back with more pride in his step and hoped to hell he didn’t end up falling. This might be his in with the other boys.

He made it to the dry ground and hopped off the limb. The boys approached and Brant said, “Way to go. Johnny here fell into the water the other day and none of the rest of us even tried it. Want to walk to school with us?”

Mindful that these were the bad boys, Ronny was delighted to have made friends finally at the new school. They took off jabbering amongst themselves.

Share Your World 11-9-2020

Share Your World 11-9-2020

polishingtheworld

Welcome to Share Your World!

Melanie’s Rules:

I will post four or five different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a Share Your World post.  Then post the link to that blog post or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your post, title your blog post “Share Your World”  and link it to this post.
  3.  Ping-backs are activated, but how efficiently varies.  I don’t manually approve them, but sometimes they don’t show up immediately.  Why is an unsolved mystery.   For instructions on how ping-backs work, in case you weren’t certain, please click here.  You may wish to leave a link to your blog post in the comments just to be sure.  Thanks!

Questions:

  1.  Do you like or dislike surprises? Why or why not? I hate surprises. I know there could be some good ones, but there are bad ones as well. I would rather not have either.
  2. What’s your favorite zoo animal? Black Panthers, beautiful, black, sleek animals. And cats are my favorite pets.
  3.  What three things do you think of the most each day? When can I go back to bed? What do I feel like doing now? Is there something in this house I feel like eating. I am not eating much and losing weight which is good, but losing it a little too fast, but the dr thinks that could be due to the water pill I have to take every day.

‘Deep’ Question

4. When, if ever, is taking a human life justified? I really don’t think taking a life is ever justified, but and yes there is a but. If I were to be fighting for my life, although it would horrify me greatly I would have to do it to save my own life. I do not believe in abortion in any case. Abortion is murder and a fetus is alive from its inception.

The Weekly Smile for the Ninth of November, 2020 #weeklysmile

The Weekly Smile for the Ninth of November, 2020 #weeklysmile

Well my smile this week is that I am getting a new computer. It has the touchscreen, an all-in-one HP (Hewlett Packard) and it also has a built in camera and microphone so I should be able to switch my live streams over to the new computer once I learn how it works. It even comes with a mouse and keyboard although they are not wireless. That can wait for now. What I have now is wired so no big deal for me.

I did my “Ask me Anything” video, live stream and so glad that is over.
