Karen poked John and said, “Look an ice cream social next week at the high school. Do you want to go?”
John thought about it a bit and then said, “Sure why not. It sounds like fun!”
“We went last year didn’t we,” Karen asked.
“It was a lot of noise, but we did have fun. Maybe we should take Betsy and Carl with us too. Mom’s been bugging me to take them on a double date for weeks now.”
“Well I guess so, but they will have to be home earlier than us so we will need somewhere else to go until curfew, ” Karen said.
