Family, Non-Fiction

I just finally moved into the assisted living facility.

It took over a year, but I finally got to the assisted living facility. I have been moving all week and am tired and in lots of pain. This was difficult. Now I have to find homes for all this stuff that really doesn’t fit in here. I have had to bear with the loss of some things I really didn’t want to give up. And the atmosphere is similar to a nursing home, but not as small or strict, although I need lots of help. They are taking over my meds which is great since I was starting to forget to take them.

The food is not as great as the sneak peek of the meet and greet we had. I don’t know if it is the same chef or if he quit, or if he was just there pretending to be the chef. It is mostly edible, at least.

I slept well my first night, which was last night. I hope that continues. I am not used to sleeping all night through. I got up and had breakfast and went back to sleep, though.

Hopefully, the change in living arrangements will spark my writing again. I haven’t written in a long time.
